Master Mantis is a mantis who is one of the main protagonists of Buck and Izzy meets Kung Fu Panda, its sequel, and Manny, Sid, and Diego's Adventures of Kung Fu Panda.
He's the smallest of the Five, but he's obviously the strongest proportional to his size. He can perform such feats as throwing Po and single-handlely holding up a severed bridge burdened by most of his comrades and Tai Lung and still have the strength to snap the bridge when needed. He's also a skilled acupuncturist, although his success does demand on the type of body he's working with like Po or Viper giving him problems until he familiarizes himself with the particular anatomy. He has a dry sense of humor, but he started to develop acceptance and liking Po as a person, alongside the factor of Po's girth. When he was a few years younger, he was very impatient, feeling that the world was too slow for him. On a mission to retrieve wool coats back from a gang of crocodile bandits, he was captured due to his overconfidence. Mantis was locked in a cage for days and forced to sit and wait for something to happen and he entered a trance to survey around the world, which was moving faster than he did, and eventually he gained patience. After developing patience, he devised a plan of escape, playing dead to trick the crocodiles into opening his cage and he defeat them. He is also one of the smallest members of the Sub-Zero Adventure Group.
Mantis is voiced by both Seth Rogen and Max Koch.
He would make a guest appearence in the Danny Phantom/Shrek crossover Danny Phantom and Shrek's Adventures of Rio, as well as the several episodes of the television series Captain Charles T. Baker's Adventures of Kim Possible and other projects outside of the Manny, Sid, and Diego's Adventures Series.
